Volunteer
We offer many opportunities to be involved in the day-to-day life of our residents.
General Volunteer
Volunteers who help with work around site such as farming or sorting donations. This level of volunteering requires agreement to our confidentiality rules and adherence to our statement of faith
Direct Care Volunteer
Work directly with the residents in the Avodah villas by providing child-care, driving residents to appointments, planning fun activities, or teaching a life-skills class. In addition to confidentiality agreement and adherence to our statement of faith, direct care volunteers must attend a day of training, submit to a background check, and be approved by program leadership.
Survivor Mentor
Serve as a one-on-one mentor for an Avodah resident as she enters into the later, transitional phases during her time at Avodah. Survivor mentors must spend at least 6 months as a Direct Care Volunteer prior to being considered for a mentor position.
