Avodah partners with religious communities who answer the call to come on mission to serve women survivors and their children

Avodah works with religious sisters to prepare them for walking alongside survivors.

Preparation for Service

  • Each sister is a practitioner of Trust Based Relational Intervention (“TBRI”), and receives continued education in survivor-informed care

  • While many sisters already have training as a nurse, midwife, or other medical positions, each sister also receives CPR, first aid, and other response training

  • All sisters receive training and support to help them integrate into American culture and relate to those they serve
